Mayor's Beautification Committee
The Mayor's Beautification Committee was established in 2000, following a generous donation from an anonymous donor to the Town of Pendleton. This donation is governed by a Restricted Gift Agreement, ensuring that the funds are used to enhance and beautify our community.
Over the years, the committee has spearheaded several remarkable projects that have added to the charm of Pendleton. Some of their notable contributions include the iconic bulldog statue in front of The Mercantile, the striking Palmetto Tree and Crescent Moon mural on the side of the Public Restrooms, and the vibrant Soar Pendleton Wings art installation on Mechanic Street across from the Village Green.
The committee is made up of dedicated members who are passionate about beautifying our town: Mayor Frank Crenshaw, Scott Ward, Melissa Powell, Chuck McCuen, and Karl Pokorny. The staff liaison for the committee is Amber Barnes, who helps facilitate the committee’s efforts.
For any questions about the Mayor's Beautification Committee please contact Amber Barnes at amberb@townofpendleton.org.
