Recycling Update: Curbside recycling is temporarily paused effective June 29, 2026, due to the Town’s recycling truck being out of service. Recycling carts placed at the curb during this time will be collected as trash. Residents may continue recycling by visiting the Anderson County Recycling Center at 600 East Queen Street.

The Town of Pendleton entered into an agreement with the City of Clemson in 2002 to provide transit service for Pendleton’s citizens.
Clemson Area Transit is a public service provided fare-free by Clemson University, the City of Clemson, the Town of Pendleton, the City of Seneca, Oconee County, and Tri-County Technical College.
The Pendleton route allows riders to transfer to the Electric City Transit route from the Bil-Lo Shopping Center to the City of Anderson. Riders transferring to that route will be required to pay a fare entering the Electric City Transit bus.
The Pendleton Route operates Monday through Friday from 6:50 a.m. until 6:20 p.m.
