The advisory is given because pressure was lost due to a water main repair. Increased sediment in the lines will be flushed and hydrants may be opened.  Public works would like to notify residents you may also notice milky water due to injecting air into the lines.

WATER SHOULD BE VIGOROUSLY BOILED FOR AT LEAST ONE FULL MINUTE PRIOR TO DRINKING OR COOKING AND ANY ICE MADE FROM WATER THAT HAS NOT BEEN BOILED SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR DRINKING PURPOSES.

Customers will be notified through email blast, social media and at www.townofpendleton.org when the problem has been resolved, and there is no longer a need to boil water.

If you have any questions, please call Town of Pendleton @ 864-646-9409.
