DAY ONE
AM - Take a self-guided walking or driving tour to ten African-American sites in downtown Pendleton. Experience life in the 1800's! Maps are available at the Pendleton District Commission. Be sure to drop in and say "hi" to Jo.
Enjoy lunch in historic downtown Pendleton at one of the many fine restaurants around the Village Square. And if weather permits, dine outside!
PM - Spend the afternoon exploring the town and more than fifty buildings that pre-date 1850. See why the entire town of Pendleton is on the National Historic Register! Cassette tape tours available at the Pendleton District Commission.
DAY TWO
AM - Visit the Pendleton District Agricultural Museum with pre-1925 farm equipment, tools, local history and artifacts. Hours by appointment. Call 864-646-3782
PM - Two historical houses can be seen by appointment. Ashtabula House, built in the 1820's, is located 3 miles east of downtown Pendleton on SC Hwy 88. Woodburn Plantation, built c.1830 by Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, is located on US Hwy 76 adjacent to the Pendleton District Agricultural Museum.
DAY THREE
AM - Spend the morning enjoying a golf game! Boscobel Golf Club offers an 18-hole, Par 71 course. Woodhaven Golf Course offers a 9-hole, Par 29 course.
PM - Shop, Shop, Shop...explore the shops of Pendleton and take home some treasures! Or relax and enjoy the beauty of small town charm.
Take in a play at the Pendleton Playhouse, a community theatre and home of the Clemson Little Theatre and Clemson Area Youth Theatre. Call for times 864-646-8100.
